GATE - Parañaque Chapter Outreach Program at Parañaque Elementary School Central SNED Center
Held on July 30, 2025
The Global Association Training and Employment Inc. (GATE) Parañaque Chapter successfully held an outreach program on July 30, 2025, at Parañaque Elementary School Central SNED Center, as part of its commitment to empower and uplift individuals through meaningful community service.
This event focused on supporting learners with special needs by providing school supplies and snacks to selected students. A total of 51 SNED learners and 9 SPED teachers benefited from the program. The goal was simple to bring joy, provide needed resources, and show support to a group of students who deserve all the encouragement and care we can give.
The program was made possible through the efforts and generosity of a dedicated group of graduate students currently taking Master of Arts in Special Education (MA in SPED) at Greenville College in Pasig City. These individuals share a common goal of making a difference in the lives of children with special needs, not just in theory, but through direct action and compassion.
The outreach was led by Ms. Jean G. Fuller, head and chapter president of GATE Parañaque Chapter, whose leadership brought this vision to life. She was assisted by fellow SPED advocates and classmates: Ms. Hazel T. Barba, and Ms. Raquel C. Tresreyes, who worked hand-in-hand in organizing and carrying out the activity.
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the following Greenville College MA in SPED students for their contributions and active involvement:
Zandre Jan Descallar Lumor, Eleazar M. Basit, Marvin I. Pastrana, Leah B. Vasquez, Hydie M. De Guzman, Dorcas C. Madrigal, Roselyn T. Rodriguez, Christina S. Digo, Elizabeth M. Minor, Icy C. Ilican, Remon A. Hogmon and Yllyza P. Diel.
Whether through financial donations, supplies, or volunteer work, their support reflects the true spirit of bayanihan and the heart of special education serving with empathy, inclusion, and kindness.
Together, we hope that this small act of giving created a meaningful impact on the students and teachers we reached. As future SPED professionals, we believe in taking every opportunity to engage, uplift, and inspire. This outreach program is just one example of how collective efforts, no matter how simple, can create real change in the community.
